Planet fitness Grand rapids to me

Planet fitness Grand rapids

is a very reasonable gym, but one thing the place is doing is making new members sign a 7-page waiver saying they understand that “any injury or situation may result from negligence and/or exercising one’s rights.” Basically, they’re basically saying, “We don’t want you to get hurt.”

Earlier this year, a Planet Fitness gym in Indiana was sued for forcing two women to use a communal bathroom. A Planet Fitness gym in Rhode Island has been sued for making members sign a release form that basically said, “We won’t sue you if you sue us.” Planet Fitness’ Director of Franchise Development Mike Rowan told CBS News that he was concerned about discrimination lawsuits:

He also said Planet Fitness was not trying to kill the spandex community:

They also note that they make good money at any 5 p.m. Monday closing time:

Planet Fitness customers have the distinct privilege of arriving earlier than any other tenant of the building—especially over the lunch hour—with our members checking in and out of our gym at 3:45 pm every Monday. The ideal customer experience for Planet Fitness would not have someone else’s business owners cranking the music while our members are taking a lunch break. If someone did that, Planet Fitness would call the police, and Planet Fitness will continue to do so if they are caught in the middle of their patrons in a true health code violation.

If you want to try a Planet Fitness gym, then they’re easy enough to find in your area. Just don’t forget that anyone is welcome to join the spandex community, but a person who insists on showing up to Planet Fitness spandex-clad, full moon screaming like they’re auditioning for World War Z while eating breakfast burritos from the salad bar, is not a fit person.

Body positivity exists at Equinox and SoulCycle, as well as elsewhere on the spectrum of fitness and weight loss. But in the days after America’s first giant inflatable vagina appears in Times Square, they’re the outliers.

Earth-bound and in charge: The Planet Fitness in Grand Rapids has hired a "master trainer" to keep members in line.

The Planet Fitness Grand Rapids club, 1097 Knapp St., hired Kepul Mohata, of Montague, to keep the 50-person facility on point.

As many gyms do, Planet Fitness relies on a staff of master trainers, some of whom like Mohata are certified by various professional associations, to hold members accountable.

Planet Fitness employees said they've noticed an increase in the number of members wearing the "Yellow Badge" over the last year. Yellow is the lowest level of fitness and is not meant for those who want to excel at their workouts, but is meant to guide those who want to improve their activity levels.

The Planet Fitness staff also had a joke going about how they felt Mohata was "managing" the exercise classes.

Larry Lee, another Planet Fitness fitness employee, said Mohata hasn't changed anything since he started working there about two weeks ago. The main goal, he said, was to instill fitness in members.

Planet Fitness has 59 locations in West Michigan, including four in the Grand Rapids area.

PX Here is the motivation from Mohata and a humorous preview of Planet Fitness trainer class:

Remembering Chris Cornell: Radio station 97.1 The Bounce hosted a tribute concert for Chris Cornell on Thursday, May 18, at Van Andel Arena.

Hosted by our very own DJ Augie, thousands of local music lovers packed the venue to remember the Soundgarden and Audioslave singer.

Although Cornell passed away last week, his memory and legacy are here to stay.

They also announced new tenants, Jovial and Chateau Brewery. Jovial is a new, seasonal American-style soda and Chateau Brewery is a new, quality brewery.

Safety First for boaters: The Department of Natural Resources wants to remind anyone using the waterways to do their part to prevent a tragedy.

During Memorial Day weekend, seven people lost their lives on the West Michigan rivers and lakes.

There have been nine drowning incidents on the water this year, one of which involved a child.

The DNR also wants to remind everyone that the water is still open and boating is permitted on most lakes and rivers.

According to the DNR, the current death toll is more than last year's total.

13 West Michigan school districts shutting down Friday: Tens of thousands of kids in West Michigan will be stuck at home for the first day of summer Friday, because their school districts called off classes.

The ten biggest districts, including Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Catholic, will be closed. But district leaders said the decision was made a month ago, before the school year began.

The kids will get to enjoy Friday off, but school will resume June 5.

This year, school administrators said they're trying to reach as many kids as possible to help with summer learning.
